Okay – so I’ve read some really negative comments. Not surprised at all. I’ve done a lot of research before I got into this unfranchise business myself. Is it a risk? Every business is a risk. But I don’t see this as a HUGE risk because I’m not even investing MUCH money into it. But yet – I can make money out of it – so is is a scam when people buy things online? I guess stores and companies are scamming people because believe it or not – they make 100% off of their customers. No lies – they get their supplies at a very low cost – but they make 100% profit from it. Do you consider that as a scam to us people? No doubt – people will either agree or disagree with you.
But don’t tell me on what to do and NOT to do. If I fail – that’s my business. It all relates to how far I want to go in this business – I don’t need ANYONE to tell me what a scam is or not. I’ve done enough studies and research to know what this will bring me. It’s not easy money & money doesn’t fall from the sky. Thank you for your concern. Might as well think Shopper Drug Mart is scamming their customers as well – since they have a points system and whenever there customer buy stuff they earn points from it… Same thing – they are making the company rich eh? School is a scam too – you pay for your tuition and they require you to buy over $100.00 text book for a class. A scam much?
To me – a scam is someone trying to take money from me. For example: people selling you something through the phone and asking you for your credit card information. Now that’s a scam. Market America does not force me to spend money on them or even give them money. I work hard and I will earn an income for what I do.
I’ve found this post from someone elses blog and this explain it all….
” To become successful in Market America UnFranchise Business,is to retailing, leveraging and duplicating the UnFranchise System.Listen and understand the Basic 5 cds (1-8),attends the NMTSS and the big events of MA just only every 3 times per year. For me,I don’t think that Market America is a scam business or some people think that this is a pyramid scheme like other mlm companies does.
In Market America,we don’t make money by recruiting people. We make money by retailing the millions of products to the customers.Because, that’s the way the Independent Distributors will earn the BVs and IBVs,not only individual making money,IS EVERYONE MAKING MONEY TOO!
The market america products are highest on demand but is so worth to pay for.Because, their products are proven, effective, high quality and no others can duplicate the market america products.Market America is a private product brokerage company and internet marketing. They are similar to QVC and Amazon.com but is powered and engineered by the people.
Also, think about the Market America web-portal,will you?The marketamerica.com is like you own the giant shopping mall in your area (mall without walls). The customers can easily order the products from there and not only that, It’s so easy to shop and it’s more convenience while the customers is shopping from home with Market America web portal. The mall talk catalog is our part of the One to One marketing. And those products in the catalogs, the company don’t make those things. They buy those products and distributed to the Unfranchise Owners customers.
I would say,the only risk about Market America UnFranchise Business model,is the REJECTION.But people can deal with.Think about Donald Trump,Bill Gates and other entrepreneurs who had dealt with the rejections. But they could handle the rejections.Look at them now, they are billionare entrepreneurs. They never listened to those fools who used to brainwash them that they can’t make it.But see, imagine that!
Unlike us,we are average people that can only afford minimal cost of franchise business with a proven business model and provide very good products to the consumers.Other business out there are so expensive to open up a small business and requires more money and too much hard work and then, stuck in the business and otherwise, ending up bankruptcy in today, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year or years later.
Also, one more thing.I think I can compare MARKET AMERICA to Health Insurance companies out there that I think they are most rip off and they can only treat the sickness people. But they can treat the wellness revolution! The only thing they know is exercise and eat right!”

Jenny,
You are absolutely right! Market America is a Business System for qualified entrepreneurs. Now, here’s a question for the healthy skeptics:
Do you think or believe the School System is a scam?
One group will argue YES, because I paid thousands of dollars. I believed in the School System. I devoted 4 or more years of my life. But, I failed to find a job in this economy. I failed to pass the course. I have to paid off my student loans. So, the School System is a scam; it did not work and took my hard-earned money!!!
Another group will argue NO, because I challenged myself to fulfill the necessary requirements to qualify for good grades and a good career or profession. I utilized what I learned and achieved a scholarship or an apprenticeship. The years I devoted in school empowered me to sharpen my personal, professional and social skills. In spite of the poor economy, I got recruited by Fortune 500 company before graduation, because I excelled in the school system. I studied hard. I studied smart by developing a study team of elite. I seek out mentors and be humbly ready to ask for help while helping others. So, the School System is not a scam; it work if you qualify.
One can come to the conclusion of the similarities between the School System and the Market America’s Business System. It is the individual’s qualifications! You can take any system and master it, so you live out your maximum potential.
That’s why all those who have partnered and succeeded in this Business System by Market America are qualified, forward-thinking, positive and successful entrepreneurs. Just to list a few: Dr. Milan Moore having attained a Bachelor’s Degree from Yale and an Medical Doctor and a Master’s in Public Health from Harvard, practicing an orthopedic surgeon; Mr. Scottie Pippen, one of NBA Hall of Framers; Ms. Kim Kardashian, Celebrity and Entrepreneur; Dr. Steven Schnur, Cardiologist in Miami; Dr. Perry Krichmar, Cardiologist in Miami, Dr. George C Shapiro, Cardiologist in Scarsdale; Dr. Deera Mason, Naturopathic Medical Doctor in Portland; Dr. Jonathan Davis, Chiropractic Doctor in Gathersburg; Ms. Melissa Conley, former tax-exempt bond/securities attorney; Mr. Kamal Hotchandani, CEO of Haute Living Magazine.
For your information, Haute Living Magazine is dedicated to providing readers with everything related to living the good life such as pages filled with many of the brands that define the luxury lifestyle, including haute timepieces from Audemars Piguet, Corum, Richard Mille, a piece on private aviation, as well as a feature pitting the new Rolls-Royce Ghost against the equally impressive Bentley Mulsanne. Kamal, the CEO, has the privilege to interview and meet world-wide successful entrepreneurs like Donald Trump – from Trump Organization, Sir Richard Branson – from the Virgin Group and JR and Loren Ridinger – from Market America. Here is Kamal’s word: From that meeting (with JR and Loren Ridinger), a great friendship was born and my admiration their entrepreneurship, kind hearts and positive attitude has since deepened…. If finding the good life is the driving force behind the majority of dreams, then Market America has found it.
Wish everyone to find a System or a Vehicle to achieve (their definition of) a good life!
